FAQs

1. Do you design just a logo?

No.

A logo is only one part of a brand. Without strategy, typography, colour, visual systems and guidelines, even the most beautiful logo has very little context to live in.

If you're investing in your business, I'd always encourage starting with at least a Basic Brand Identity. It gives your brand the foundation it needs to grow consistently, rather than relying on a single mark to do all the heavy lifting.

2. What exactly is included in a Brand Identity?

Every project is slightly different, but a brand identity typically includes:

  • Brand strategy & positioning

  • Creative direction

  • Logo suite

  • Colour palette

  • Typography system

  • Graphic elements

  • Brand patterns or supporting assets

  • Basic brand guidelines

Think of it as building an entire visual language—not just a logo.

3. I already have a logo. Can you just design the packaging?

Absolutely.

Packaging can be taken on as a standalone project, provided you already have a solid brand identity in place. If your existing branding needs refinement before packaging begins, I'll always let you know.

4. Do you offer art direction without branding?

Yes.

Art direction is available as a standalone service for campaigns, product launches, editorials, look-books, social media, websites or photoshoots.

Whether it's styling, image selection, visual storytelling or creating an overall creative direction, the goal is always to make your brand feel intentional and cohesive.

5. Can you help with photography or styling?

Yes.

While I don't photograph products myself, I provide creative direction for photography, styling, props, compositions, references and mood boards to ensure every visual aligns with your brand.

6. How long does a project usually take?

Most branding projects take between 10–12 weeks, depending on the scope.

Packaging and art direction timelines vary depending on the number of deliverables and revisions. A timeline will always be shared before the project begins.

7. Do we need to meet in person?

No.

Studio By K is a fully remote design practice, and I don't take in-person meetings.

The entire process—from discovery and strategy to presentations and feedback—is designed to work seamlessly online. In my experience, remote collaboration is often more focused, efficient and allows everyone the space to think more intentionally.

8. Do you build websites?

Not at the moment.

I focus on creating the visual identity and creative direction for websites. Once the design is complete, I can collaborate with a developer or recommend trusted professionals for implementation if needed.

9. How do we get started?

Start by filling out the enquiry form.

From there, I'll review your project to see if we're the right fit. If it feels like a good match, I'll be in touch with the next steps, including a proposal, timeline and investment.
